Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh recently revealed that the U.S. partnered with Norway in June 2022 to plant remotely triggered explosives that took out three of the four Nord Stream pipelines three months later.

Western media have fallen into silence over the issue. Hersh lamented many mainstream U.S. outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN become a front for the White House.

U.S. denied the allegations. Denmark, Germany and Sweden were investigating the destruction, but remained tight-lipped over who blew holes in the pipelines.

今年2月，美国独立调查记者西摩·赫什在其个人网站撰文，评述北溪管道被炸事件的来龙去脉，指称在去年6月的一次北约夏季演习中，海军潜水员在演习的掩护下，潜水放置了远程遥控炸药，三个月后这些炸药摧毁了四条北溪管道中的三条。

赫什的调查报告发布后，美国白宫称“完全虚构”，中情局称“完全不实”，美国主流媒体的“神秘沉默”与对待中国“流浪气球”的集体亢奋形成鲜明反差。
